My Skins
An 11-minute video unfolds through a sustained act of contact with hanji, a fragile, skin-like material. The hands move through cycles of tearing and gathering, breaking what feels distant and returning to it again. Each gesture carries a mix of resistance and care, as if testing how much can be held without falling apart.
The material shifts under pressure, holding the trace of every touch. What begins in separation gradually draws inward, forming something that feels contained, but never fully still.
The movement is repetitive, almost meditative, but never neutral. It lingers in the space between discomfort and acceptance, where the body learns not to reject, but to remain.
